Delicious Diary Entry
"A healthy dose of motivation with a twist"
My name is Ms. Delicious Diary and my job is to see how my clients are really doing when it comes to their weight loss journey. My favorite clients are Super Size-It Sally and Low-Calorie Lucy, along with their close knit group of friends. They all have their own way of dealing with their issues, and the funniest nicknames to prove it as you will see as you read their diary entries each week. I hold the key to the diary in this special little green bag. My fingers are itching to unlock the diary and see their weight loss or gain, and check their delicious food entries.
Dear Diary: Bigger is Not Better!
Super-Size It Sally:
Chip-Bag Betty strolled in the coaching session with a bag of chips. She had no shame, no guilt and no intention to stop eating until every last chip was gone, including the crumbs in the corner of the bag. She didn't care who heard her crunching, not even the coach. And, then she wonders why she can't seem to lose weight, it's all very baffling to her, but not to everyone else. She complains about having to buy bigger pants, and swears the cleaners is shrinking her clothes. The real problem here are those chips, she always has a bag in her hand. But she seems to be in denial, so we will just let her stay there.
Polly-Popcorn's air popper has been working overtime. She came in dragging big bags of popcorn for everyone, but not everyone wanted it. We wanted to be a good sport and gave it a try and to our surprise it was really good. Everyone at the coaching session knows how much she loves her popcorn, she eats it everyday and calls it her filler food. I thought it must taste like cardboard without butter, but I was dead wrong. It had been sprayed with olive oil and sprinkled with spices. Turns out popcorn is a very healthy food without the butter. She said it only has about 120 calories per bag, about four cups, not bad. No wonder she stays so thin. Polly wants some popcorn!
Lifestyle change of the week!
If you need something to crunch on, try air popped popcorn. It's a healthy whole grain snack. Just skip the butter and add spices instead.
