My name is Ms. Delicious Diary and my job is to see how my clients are really doing when it comes to their weight loss journey. My favorite clients are Super Size-It Sally and Low-Calorie Lucy, along with their close knit group of friends. They all have their own way of dealing with their issues, and the funniest nicknames to prove it as you will see as you read their diary entries each week. I hold the key to the diary in this special little green bag. My fingers are itching to unlock the diary and see their weight loss or gain, and check their delicious food entries.
Dear Diary: Don't Sit it Out!
Super-Size It Sally:
When I was busy super- sizing all my meals, I didn't even notice it was also super sizing me. Now, as I work to lose weight I have made some super changes. No more super- sized meals for me. And no more sitting on the sidelines watching everyone else's life while I ignore my own. No more sitting on the bench at the park while everyone is walking and getting healthy. No more wishing I could lose weight and wanting it more than anything in the world, except those donuts at Krispy Creme, man do I love those donuts. No more telling myself that I will start on Monday, I don't even like Monday's so why would I start anything on that day?
Sometimes you just have to say enough is enough, and mean it. You have to decide you are going to get off the sidelines and participate in your own life. I use to tell myself I was just big boned and not overweight. I believed it until I realized nobody has bones that big. So I made some changes and now I can honestly say my bones are not big and neither am I.
Lifestyle change of the week!
It's amazing what can happen to our life when we refuse to believe half the stuff we tell ourselves. Actions speak louder than words any day of the week. So just start moving then keep moving in the right direction and one day you will arrive.
