Delicious Diary Entry
"A healthy dose of motivation with a twist"
My name is Ms. Delicious Diary and my job is to see how my clients are really doing when it comes to their weight loss journey. My favorite clients are Super Size-It Sally and Low-Calorie Lucy, along with their close knit group of friends. They all have their own way of dealing with their issues, and the funniest nicknames to prove it as you will see as you read their diary entries each week. I hold the key to the diary in this special little green bag. My fingers are itching to unlock the diary and see their weight loss or gain, and check their delicious food entries.
Dear Diary: My Book Club Chat!
Super Size-It Sally:
Page 17 reads - How could I have let myself get this big? I can't believe I weigh almost 300 pounds. My husband told me I needed to do something about my weight, but I looked at him and said, have you looked in the mirror lately? He is not too far behind me, but for some reason he doesn't seem to know it. I think that's what they call a serious case of denial. At least I'm not in denial, I know how big I am. I know I need to change my life and lose weight. I know I need to stop eating all the wrong stuff. I know I need to exercise, even though I hate the word. I know I need to stop drinking so much soda. I know, I know, I know......
Page 18 reads - It was a normal day, nothing out of the ordinary when I started my day until my feet hit the floor. As I tried to stand up my knees almost gave out, buckled under the pressure of so much weight. It was then that I thought to myself, this is ridiculous, nobody should gain this much weight in one life time. That day I took things in my own hands and slowly started to make some changes. I knew if I wanted to weigh different, I would have to do something different. Now one year later I look different, feel different and weigh different. I finally got tired of being sick and tired, and over weight. I just couldn't live like that anymore.....
Lifestyle change of the week!
If you know you need to lose weight but can't seem to get started, don't be discouraged. If you know what to do but can't seem to do it, don't give up. If you know how you want to look and feel, but don't think you will ever get there, you will. Start small, very small if need be, just take the first step and keep going.
