Delicious Diary Entry
"A healthy dose of motivation with a twist"
My name is Ms. Delicious Diary and my job is to see how my clients are really doing when it comes to their weight loss journey. My favorite clients are Super Size-It Sally and Low-Calorie Lucy, along with their close knit group of friends. They all have their own way of dealing with their issues, and the funniest nicknames to prove it as you will see as you read their diary entries each week. I hold the key to the diary in this special little green bag. My fingers are itching to unlock the diary and see their weight loss or gain, and check their delicious food entries.
Dear Diary: Coaching Session Gone Wrong!
Super Size-It Sally:
Our Coaching session got off to a good start but then something went terribly wrong. Mary-Mac &Cheese came in complaining about her life and her weight. The coach had one question for her - what are you going to do to change it? Her answer surprised us all, she said that's what I'm paying you for. Well, that started the ball rolling and the words flying. It got out of hand and when it was all said and done the coach was the bad guy. She had to blame someone and it wasn't going to be herself.
Sometimes it's just easier to blame others for our problems. It's easier to blame than to fix. It takes much more effort to actually do something about it. I know because that use to be me. I told everyone how miserable I was with my weight, but would not take the first step to lose it. One day my coach told me the choice to change it was on me, she could guide me through the process but couldn't do the work for me. It was up to me. I didn't want to hear that, it even made me mad, until I realized that was a good thing because it meant I had the power to change it all. The power to change was mine and why would I want to give that power to someone else?
Lifestyle change of the week!
Don't wait for someone to change your life for you, you will be waiting forever. Take charge of your own life and your own weight. You already have the power, why not use it.
"The power to change is a change in power"
