Delicious Diary Entry
"A healthy dose of motivation with a twist"
My name is Ms. Delicious Diary and my job is to see how my clients are really doing when it comes to their weight loss journey. My favorite clients are Super Size-It Sally and Low-Calorie Lucy, along with their close knit group of friends. They all have their own way of dealing with their issues, and the funniest nicknames to prove it as you will see as you read their diary entries each week. I hold the key to the diary in this special little green bag. My fingers are itching to unlock the diary and see their weight loss or gain, and check their delicious food entries.
Dear Diary: My Coaching Session!
Super Size-It Sally:
Our coaching session was very helpful today. The information hit me like a ton of bricks. Our coach read something to us that started off like this - it doesn't matter what you tell yourself about food that let's you over eat. The only thing that matters is you are over eating, period. All the excuses in the world won't change that. So, don't waste your time looking for excuses or logic, just change it. If you think you are eating less or eating better but are still gaining weight, that means you need to take it up a notch. Keep improving your eating habits, and exercise often. That combination is how you lose weight. Doing one without the other is pointless for long term weight loss.
I think our coach was sick of all the excuses, she had heard everything by now and it was all starting to sound the same. She said there is a million ways to say the same thing, and it's already been said. She said sometimes we just think way too much about a problem. When she said that, I thought is she talking to me? It sounded like me, that's what I find myself doing. I spend more time thinking about why, and not enough time just doing something about it. A light bulb went off!
Lifestyle change of the week!
Get out of your head and don't over think it. Losing weight is not complicated, it's a numbers game. Eat more calories than you use, you'll gain weight. Eat less calories than you burn, you'll lose weight. All the diet plans in the world come down to that.
"Thinking it out is not the same as working it out."
