The sitting disease is the new buzz word in the health world. That's because it has come to the attention of health professionals that sitting all day is a real health hazard. When you sit all day, everyday at work or home it can be as bad for your health as smoking, that's right, smoking. That's what we call a real wake-up call and one that can't be ignored. Everyone knows smoking can kill you, but it is news to the general population that sitting all day can kill you too. If you think about it you can see why - sitting too much slows everything down to a crawl in your body, things stop moving, become sluggish and can clog up, causing health problems. So get up often and if that is not possible then at the very least, move your feet up and down to move your calf muscles, that will help get the blood back to your heart. Our bodies were made to move so do it often to keep the blood flow flowing, the heart pumping, the kidneys flushing, the liver churning, the muscles flexing, the fat burning, the lungs expanding and you healthy!
When you move everything inside you moves with you. When you stop moving everything inside you comes to a dead stop so don't stop for long, keep it moving!
