My name is Ms.Delicious Diary and my job is to see how my clients are really doing when it comes to their weight loss journey. My favorite clients are Super Size-It Sally and Low-Calorie Lucy, along with their close knit group of friends. Dear Diary: My Book Club Chat!

Super Size-It Sally:

Page 67 reads: Tammy wondered why she had to watch every bite of food while her best friend shovels down pizza's, fries and burgers but never gains a pound. It doesn't make sense to her if what all the dietitians say is really true. All I have to do is look at a cookie too long and I can feel my thighs expanding. I wish someone could really tell me how this weight thing works...

Low-Calorie Lucy:

Page 68 reads: It's not rocket science although it may seem like it when comes to weight loss or gain for that matter. Tammy failed to realize each person is different, there is no one size fits all. Genes are different, bodies are different, lifestyles are different which makes all of us unique in our own way. The key is to try different ways of doing the same thing until we stumble on what works for us...

The first step in finding out works for you is to be willing to try new things. Because if you keep doing what you have always done, you will only get what you have always got. And that is not rocket science my friend!

Motivation Series - Let The Music Move You!

One of the best ways to pump up your exercise routine and work that body is to add music for motivation! Music is a fantastic way to add fun to movement because it puts a little more pep in your step. Music has been shown to increase the intensity and the duration when working out. The more upbeat the music the better your workout. We suggest putting together a playlist just for your workout and don't stop until your playlist stops. Every time you here that playlist it will be your signal to move to the beat of the music!

Motivating Tip
When putting together a playlist for your workout, you might want to have a good mix of fast and slower music so you can pick up your pace depending on the song. It's called interval training and it's one of the fastest ways to lose weight. Throughout your entire workout, every few minutes just pick up the pace of whatever you are doing, then slow it down a little, then pick it back up. Keep doing this and use your music playlist to help you by mixing fast and slower songs.

What does love have to do with it? What does love have to do with losing weight? If you love your sweet self, you will make choices that nourish you, feed you and care for you! You will refuse to eat fake food just because it taste good. You will refuse to put a daily dose of chemicals in your beautiful body that serve no useful purpose other than to enrich those who sold it to you. Love of self has everything to do with making time to exercise so you can feel your best and be your best. Because you love yourself, you will cherish yourself. Because you love yourself, you will take special care of yourself. That's what love has to do with it!

It turns out love has everything to do with losing weight. Because all the choices you make reflect your love for yourself. So, if you really want to lose weight, fall madly in love with yourself!

Super Size-It Sally:

Page 63 reads: Mary-Mac & Cheese went to the gym this morning to work off some of her favorite food. She knew if she pigged out over the weekend, she would have to hit the gym hard if she did not want to gain weight. So she made a verbal agreement with herself that if she had a pig-out day she had to go work it off, no excuses. She honored her own agreement even though she wished she had never made it...

Low-Calorie Lucy:


Page 64 reads: Little-Miss Salad is tired of being little miss perfect when it comes to eating right. She can't take any more lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers even if they are fresh and in season. She wants something that will stick to her ribs, like a whole rack of ribs dripping in BBQ sauce that will fill her up and has staying power for a change...

Lifestyle change of the week!
Eat everything in moderation to have a healthy lifestyle. Depriving yourself of all the foods you love will only create a strong desire for that food. And eventually you will give in and eat all those foods you have swore off as bad, bad food. After all if food tastes that good, how can it be bad right, right!

Everybody wants a beach body, but how do you get that body beach ready? Well, here is the secret that no one is telling you - there is no secret! You can't wait for beach weather to try and get a beach body.The key to looking good in the summer months is to look smokin hot when it's freezing cold and snowing out side. Maintaining a healthy body is not seasonal, it's a way of life. Eating healthy foods that nourish your body instead of just filling you up on empty calories that taste good, and exercising on a regular basis will have you beach ready year around!

Dear Diary: It's Not Fair!

Super Size-It Sally:

Fast-Food Fanny is not a happy camper after stepping one foot on the scale only to watch the number shoot up like a stalk of celery. She thought because she had skipped her fast food place last week it would show up on the scale this week. She was so disappointed and even got mad the more she thought about it and said it's just not fair.By the time she left her coaching session she went straight to get her favorite fast food meal and refused to feel guilty about it. She is going to teach that scale a lesson...

Low-Calorie Lucy:

Crockpot-Kate ate delicious fast meals all week right from her Crockpot. She cooks in that pot almost every week on Sunday to prepare for a week of healthy eating that taste yummy! She loves cooking that way because she is in control of what she puts in her food. She doesn't put too much salt, sugar and fat in her food because there is no need for it. As a result, when she steps on the scale she is always pleasantly surprised to see her weight is right where it should be, no surprises...

Lifestyle change of the week!
If you don't like to cook or don't have much time or energy to cook dinner after work, try cooking in your Crockpot so food is waiting for you when you get home. You don't need to find yourself in the fast-food line when dinner is ready!

Motivation Series - Do This, Not That!

Do This:

1. Eat, drink and be merry then move often.

2. When you fill up on food be sure to use it so you can lose it.

3. Eat your way to good health, it's more important than exercise.

4. Drink refreshing liquids free from sugar, and chemicals.

5. You are what you eat, how could you not be.

Not That:

1. Don't eat, drink and sit there.

2. Don't eat too much food that you can't burn off.

3. Don't eat junk food daily and expect good health.

4. Don't drink your calories, save them for food.

5. Don't think you can eat bad and look good.

Motivating Tip
Food can be your friend or foe depending on your choices. If you make healthy choices most of the time then food will be your friend. If you make poor food choices most of the time then food will be your foe. Choose your friends wisely!

Dear Diary: My Book Club Chat!

Super Size-It Sally:

Page 61 reads: Crock-Pot Betty was so excited about her new crock pot she just bought that had gadgets to make her life easier. I thought to myself, how much easier can cooking get. You put the food in the pot and push on, done! The food comes out like gourmet you would find at a five star restaurant. She just doesn't understand why more people, especially busy working women with little time and energy don't use their Crockpots more often. I know they have one hidden away somewhere. Maybe that's the problem, they are hidden away - out of sight, out of mind...

Low-Calorie Lucy:

Page 62 reads: Fast-Food Fanny can't stop eating fast-food nor does she want to, she eats it everyday. It taste so good and it's so easy to get, you don't even have to get out of your car and she doesn't. She pulls up, orders up and eats up, it happens so fast she doesn't even remember eating, but her body does because that's when it goes into panic mode trying to process all the processed food she just ate. She tried the Crockpot thing but even that was too hard for her because when she wants food she wants it now! The Crockpot was just too slow for her taste...

Lifestyle change of the week!
The trick to eating healthy is preparing ahead of time so when that hunger hits it is no surprise. You already know what you are going to eat and most of the time it is not fast-food. It is just as easy to eat healthy food as it is to eat fast-food if you plan ahead. If you plan to eat dinner, put food in the Crockpot in the morning so dinner is ready and waiting for you. That is the best fast-food you will ever have. The Crockpot is genius and anyone who uses it regularly is a genius too!
