Do you ever just want to put a pad lock on your mouth and seal it shut to keep you from eating? You are not alone, we all get frustrated with the whole good food, bad food thing. It's hard to resist all the enticements because there is food all around. We don't even have to go looking for food, it will find us. And, after it finds us, we can have it on the spot, no waiting no fuss, that is the mentality of the world we live in today. If you can see it, smell it or touch it - you can eat it. Just snap your fingers and like magic you can be eating any food your taste buds are craving. But wait, stop, don't do it! Take a deep breath, calm yourself and step away from the food. Before you take one bite, ask yourself - do I really, really, really want to eat this?
To be healthy we need to be selective in our food choices. One of the biggest problems today is not just too many food choices, but portion size. They are usually big enough to feed two or three people, and if we eat it all ourselves, we will become two or three people.
