Motivation Series - Monthly Review!

                                                              Motivation Series
"A healthy dose of motivation with a twist"

1. One healthy habit of successful people is preparing meals and snacks in advance. Waiting until you are hungry to decide what to eat is a Big No No!

2. Don't talk yourself out of exercise. Talk is cheap, real cheap!

3. Start where you are to do what you can then keep going.

4. How are your habits? Good, bad or down right deadly.

5. Life is too short to do nothing. Do something and surprise yourself. Start or stop a habit today.

Motivating Tip
Habits are made to be broken. You can start a whole new life by changing what you do everyday, one habit at a time. Make a list and check it twice and see whether your habits are naughty or nice.

Motivating Quote
"Take a long hard look at your habits to see what you are made of."

Delicious Diary Entry - My Diary Review!

                                                    Delicious Diary Entry
"A healthy dose of motivation with a twist"

1. Don't keep your trigger finger on your trigger foods.

2. If you are stuck in a rut, step out of your comfort zone. What do you have to lose?

3. One plus one is always two, and eating too many calories for your energy level always equals weight gain.

4. If you want something different, try something different and see what happens.

5. The truth may hurt but it always works.

Lifestyle change of the week!
No matter where you are in life you can decide today to make a different choice, a healthier one. If your choices are working for you, keep making them. If not, make a different choice to end up in a different place.

Motivating Quote
"Pick and choose your choices with the end in mind. The end is a great place to start."

Motivation Series - Happy Habits!

                                                Motivation Series
"A healthy dose of motivation with a twist"

Do you have happy habits? You might be wondering what are happy habits and how do I get more of them? Happy habits are habits that promote your personal happiness and contribute to your overall well being. They are habits that serve you well in all aspects of your life. We all have habits, but some habits do the exact opposite of happy habits. Some habits that we have developed over the years actually do us more harm than good, but we continue to do them because we did it yesterday, the day before and the day before that. So, we do it again today without even giving it a second thought, after all that's what habits are, actions without thought. What we need is more happy habits, but to get those we might have to not just think about what we are doing, but ask ourselves why we are doing it, and does it make us happy? If the answer is no, then we should drop it like a bad habit and replace it with a happy habit ASAP!

Motivating Tip
We are the sum total of all our habits, make sure your habits are worth repeating. If you don't like your habits, change them starting with one bad habit at a time. Replace it with something better, then keep doing it until it is a habit. Your new habit will become just as easy to repeat as the old habit. Give it a try!

Motivating Quote
"Get in the habit of thinking about what you do without thinking."

Delicious Diary Entry - Lost and Found!

                                                   Delicious Diary Entry
"A healthy dose of motivation with a twist"

My name is Ms. Delicious Diary and my job is to see how my clients are really doing when it comes to their weight loss journey. My favorite clients are Super Size-It Sally and Low-Calorie Lucy, along with their close knit group of friends. They all have their own way of dealing with their issues, and the funniest nicknames to prove it as you will see as you read their diary entries each week. I hold the key to the diary in this special little green bag. My fingers are itching to unlock the diary and see their weight loss or gain, and check their delicious food entries.

Dear Diary: Lost and Found!

Super Size-It Sally:

Our coaching session was canceled today at the last minute, not sure why. So, we all decided to have a mini girls night out. It was so much fun, we told stories about how much weight we lost and then found again. Sweet-Tooth Twinkie said it is torture for her to not eat sweets, she said this with a mouth full of cake. And that would be the reason she keeps finding all that weight she lost last year. But the truth is we all have our trigger foods, mine is salty and crunchy, like chips and lots of them. I'm not talking about those cute little bags with two chips, I'm talking about those party size bags. I just can't seem to get enough of them.

Low-Calorie Lucy:

We all love food, after all it's so good. If we are trying to lose weight suddenly food becomes the enemy. But it doesn't have to be that way, we just need to have a strategy that works for us. If we have a problem with certain foods, leave those foods at the grocery store. It's hard to eat what's not there. I learned to make it easier on myself years ago, that's when I got rid of tempting food and made it harder to eat them. As a result, I don't eat them nearly as often and my weight shows it. I'm no longer playing the lost and found game of weight loss.

Lifestyle change of the week!
To lose weight and keep it off you have to keep doing what you did to lose it in the first place. That's why choosing the right way to lose weight is so important, you have to be willing to keep doing it and make it your new lifestyle. If you don't, you may find all the weight you lost waiting for you in the lost and found.

Motivating Quote
"Finding what you lost is not good if it's weighting for you on the scale."

Motivation Series - Do This, Not That!

                                                        Motivation Series
"A healthy dose of motivation with a twist"
Do This:

1. Hop, skip and jump often.

2. Move it or lose it, those are the only options.

3. Dance the weight away, it's the fun way to get fit and stay fit for life. Turn the music up and don't sit down.

4. Walk circles around excuses. Even as you are making excuses why you can't exercise today, put your shoes on and start moving. The excuses will still be sitting there when you get back.

5. Start small, one foot in front of the other, that's all it takes.

Not That:

1. Don't act like you are paralyzed if you are not.

2. Don't lose it, make it better.

3. Don't sit it out, dance.

4. Don't listen to your excuses, show them who's boss.

5. Don't forget, small steps add up big time.

Motivating Tip
Your body was made to move so move it often. Look for ways to move more during the day. Those extra steps will add up at the end of the day, week, month and year. The results just might amaze you!

Motivating Quote
"You are a hop, skip and jump away from losing weight."

Dear Diary: My Book Club Chat!

Super Size-It Sally:

Page 15 reads - I was stuck in a rut, I felt unmotivated and couldn't seem to get going. I guess I needed a good shake to snap me out of it. I wasn't happy with my weight and I wanted to do something about it, but what? I was tired of trying all the weight loss gimmicks out there, none of them seem to work for very long. What I wanted was the truth in how to lose this weight and keep it off. And, as it turns out it was right under my nose, staring me straight in the face, just waiting for me to give it a try. It wasn't rocket science, just a simple equation. But when I read about it, it was something I knew all along. I thought it could not be that simple. The advice in this book was - only eat what you are willingly to burn off during the day, if you don't burn it off you will go to bed with it and wake up bigger the next morning......

Low-Calorie Lucy:

Page 16 reads - When Tina finally got out of her rut, she went full steam ahead, there was no stopping her. It took her a while to believe she could have a better life, that she deserved a better life, but now she says, why not me? She no longer fills her body with bad food dressed up to taste delicious. She no longer sits on the couch like she can't move even if she wanted to. She no longer watches everyone else's life while hers is passing her by. She no longer listens to her friends complain about their weight while eating a whole pizza in one sitting. She now realizes if you want something different, you absolutely have to do something different.....

Lifestyle change of the week!
If you find yourself stuck in a rut, go out and shake things up a little. Do something different that you have never done before and may even be afraid to do. That just might start you on the road to seeing things differently, and get you out of your comfort zone and your rut.

Motivating Quote
"Miss a meal if you have to but don't miss a book."

Motivation Series - It's Only a Test!

                                                      Motivation Series
"A healthy dose of motivation with a twist"

This is only a test, I don't plan to keep this body. When it comes to your body do you feel like it's not your real body, it's just a test body. Like it's just temporary, a test of sorts until you get your act together. You may feel like the real you is inside just screaming to get out, and as hard as you may try you can't seem to let it out. You have tried everything to lose weight, get fit and be healthy, but nothing has worked, at least not long term. Well, if you want to pass this particular test, you have to do what you do for all other test in your life - prepare! Preparation is key, and it's the only key that fits. When it comes to losing weight, preparation equals weight loss every time, and weight loss means the test is over! So get prepared starting with the next 24 hours, then do that again and again until you would not have it any other way. If you prepare to lose weight, the weight does not stand a chance against your preparation!

Motivating Tip
Prepare what you will eat, how much you will eat and when you will eat it. Then prepare how you will use what you just ate, how to burn those calories. It's food in and food out, the only other choice is to prepare to gain weight, and that is just not an option you should be prepared to accept.

Motivating Quote
"This is only a test, my real body is on it's way."

Delicious Diary Entry - Snack Attack!

Dear Diary: Snack Attack!

Super Size-It Sally:

Sweet-Tooth Twinkie loves snacks and she keeps a stash of her favorite snacks in a special hidden place. When she has a snack attack she has a supply that would satisfy even the most die hard fan of sweets. She knows it's her down fall, but she has given up even trying to stop eating her favorites, it's just too hard, every time she has tried she fails. Our coach offered to give her some tips on how to resist her cravings but she was tired of hearing the same old thing. She just wants to be able to eat what she wants when she wants it, end of story.

Low-Calorie Lucy:

Sometimes we all feel like giving up and giving in, but that is not the answer. I gave up once, and that's when things really got bad, so bad in fact I almost lost my life. I almost ate myself to death, literally! It didn't matter what it was - sweets, chips, or chicken, it's all the same when you eat it in bulk. It packs on the pounds faster than you can digest it. I was so sick of trying I couldn't stand it any more, and wasn't willing to stop eating what I loved. But, then something happened that would change everything, I saw a picture of myself and I couldn't believe it was me. I hit rock bottom hard, real hard. I thought, when did this happen and how do I fix it?

Lifestyle change of the week!
When you hit rock bottom, that is when things start to change. Rock bottom is an interesting place to be because you have no where to go but up. And the best thing you can do is get mad, really mad. Use that energy to change your life, you already have everything you need to do it, when you get mad you now have the energy to get it done.

Motivating Quote
"Don't let a snack attack set you back."
