                                   "A healthy dose of motivation with a twist"

My name is Ms. Delicious Diary and my job is to see how my clients are really doing when it comes to their weight loss journey. My favorite clients are Super Size-It Sally and Low-Calorie Lucy, along with their close knit group of friends. They all have their own way of dealing with their issues, and the funniest nicknames to prove it as you will see as you read their diary entries each week. I hold the key to the diary in this special little green bag. My fingers are itching to unlock the diary and see their weight loss or gain, and check their delicious food entries.

Dear Diary:  My Coaching Session!

Super Size-It Sally:

Our coach asked us all to do an experiment for two weeks. She said to replace one meal each day with soup. Homemade soup is best, but we could use can soup as long as it's low sodium and broth based. If we use regular can soup, we could add a peeled potato to the soup while heating it to help absorb some of the sodium. The problem with a lot of can soups is there is too much sodium in them. One can will have over a 1000 mg of sodium, so using a potato will help remove some of that sodium. She reminded us that too much sodium in our diet can lead to high blood pressure because it causes our body to retain fluid, increasing the blood volume which in turn increases our blood pressure. We all agreed to try it, we had nothing to lose but sodium and weight, and that was a good thing.

Low-Calorie Lucy:

After eating soup for two weeks and feeling like I was going to float away, it was time to weigh in to see if it worked. I was so excited to hop on that scale because I felt like I lost a few pounds based on the way my clothes fit. So, as I closed my eyes and stepped on the scale, I looked down and saw I was four pounds lighter. It worked, and I was so happy because it wasn't even hard to do. I wasn't hungry all the time, in fact I felt full after having soup. I plan to continue to replace one meal with soup most days of the week.

Lifestyle change of the week! 
When you replace one meal with soup you save yourself hundreds of calories a day. Add that up at the end of the week and you will have saved thousands of calories. The result is weight loss!
