Delicious Diary Entry - My Coaching Session!

                                   "A healthy dose of motivation with a twist"

My name is Ms. Delicious Diary and my job is to see how my clients are really doing when it comes to their weight loss journey. My favorite clients are Super Size-It Sally and Low-Calorie Lucy, along with their close knit group of friends. They all have their own way of dealing with their issues, and the funniest nicknames to prove it as you will see as you read their diary entries each week. I hold the key to the diary in this special little green bag. My fingers are itching to unlock the diary and see their weight loss or gain, and check their delicious food entries.

Dear Diary:  My Coaching Session!

Super Size-It Sally:

Sweet-Tooth Twinkie ate her way through a box of twinkies for the last time as she starts the new year. She told our coach she has a plan to eat fruit instead when she wants something sweet. I can't wait to see how long that last. Chip-Bag Betty plans to buy only small bags of chips instead of the huge bags she usually buys. The coach said that was an improvement as long as she doesn't eat enough little bags to make a huge bag. Mary-Mac &Cheese refuses to even try and stop eating her favorite food, she has failed so many times she refuses to try anymore. Soda-Pop Susie knows the soda she drinks everyday is nothing more than liquid syrup, but it's a habit she can't seem to break, nor does she want to. I plan to downsize my meals to smaller portions, I figure since I don't really plan to exercise much that's the least I can do.

Low-Calorie Lucy:

Our coach listened intently to every ones big plans for the new year. She tried not to judge us, although the look on her face as she listened reminded me of a judge that was not happy and was going to throw the book at us any minute. I think she thought we were all in denial, or maybe just didn't get it. She said if you want to lose weight and get healthy you have to change what you have been doing that got you here in the first place. You can start small, but eventually you will have to make some big changes to see results, otherwise you are just kidding yourself.

Lifestyle change of the week!
No one can change you but you, It's an inside job, literally, and that's the good news. The bad news, when making changes it can feel uncomfortable. That's a big part of change and should be expected. After all you are not use to the change yet. Realize what you have been doing is not working for you, then do something different. The nice thing about change, over time it will get easier and then and only then will you be able to return to your comfort zone.
