My name is Ms. Delicious Diary and my job is to see how my clients are really doing when it comes to their weight loss journey. My favorite clients are Super Size-It Sally and Low-Calorie Lucy, along with their close knit group of friends. They all have their own way of dealing with their issues, and the funniest nicknames to prove it as you will see as you read their diary entries each week. I hold the key to the diary in this special little green bag. My fingers are itching to unlock the diary and see their weight loss or gain, and check their delicious food entries.
Dear Diary: My Coaching Session!
Super Size-It Sally:
Sweet -Tooth Twinkie brought twinkies to our coaching session today. Who does that? Aren't we all here because we have been eating too many twinkies to begin with. Our coach was not amused, she asked her what she was thinking. It turns out she wasn't thinking at all. She was just trying to get rid of some of the twinkies she bought on sale, it was a good deal she just couldn't pass up. So, now she wants to pass on that good deal to us. But, it's not a good deal for us because it's not going to help us reach our goals.
I think when people know you are trying to eat better and lose weight they should respect that. Not make it harder by offering you food you are trying to avoid. We have enough temptation all around us - on every corner, in every cabinet, in every other commercial. Food is everywhere so we don't need our "friends" handing it to us on a silver platter.
Lifestyle change of the week!
Be a good support system for someone who is trying to eat better and change their lifestyle. Try eating healthy with them, avoid eating junk around them. Offer to split a meal with them to help them cut calories. Suggest a walk while you talk, instead of sitting down. Burn some calories while having fun and helping a friend. That's a win, win!
