My name is Ms.Delicious Diary and my job is to see how my clients are really doing when it comes to their weight loss journey. My favorite clients are Super Size-It Sally and Low-Calorie Lucy, along with their close knit group of friends. They all have their own way of dealing with their issues, and the funniest nicknames to prove it as you will see as you read their diary entries each week. I hold the key to the diary in this special little green bag. My fingers are itching to unlock the diary and see their weight loss or gain, and check their delicious food entries.
Dear Diary: My Coaching Session!
Super Size-It Sally:
Our coaching session was all about strategies. Our coach said if we want to lose weight our job when we wake up in the morning is to create a calorie deficit for the day. We need to give our bodies a reason to use the fat our bodies have stored. If we create a calorie deficit that's when our body will burn the fat we have tucked away for a rainy day. If we don't give our bodies a reason to use the fat then we won't lose the fat. It takes a calorie deficit to use it and lose it.
I learn something new everyday in our coaching sessions. I thought I knew it all but I never knew this simple fact of losing weight. If we eat enough food for our energy needs for the day then that's all our body will use. But, if we don't eat enough for our energy level for the day that's when our body attacks the stored fat and uses it for fuel. So, we have to create a calorie deficit for this to happen. The truth is, if we don't give our bodies a good reason to use the stored fat, it won't.
Lifestyle change of the week!
One way to create a calorie deficit is to cut back on everything you eat and drink. Eat the same but less of it, this will cause a deficit without even noticing it. If you cut back but don't notice any change in your weight, it just means you need to cut back a little more.
