2. Always have plan A, B and C if needed to eat healthy and exercise.

3. What you do most of the time is what shows. Eat healthy most of the time.

4. Big girls refuse to give up or give in on their fitness goals. Be determined to stick to your plan.

5. The end result is a fit body and good health.

Stick to your fitness plans even when you feel like giving up. Talk yourself through a temptation until you are no longer tempted. You will be so glad you did!

1. When exercise gets hard, call on the big girl in you to help get you through.

2. Have a plan, post it where you can see it, then follow through. Remember, it only works when you work it.

3. Don't let yourself off the hook too easy.

4. Think about how you will feel after you exercise, not before.

5. Big girls don't cry, they eat healthy and exercise to be the best they can be.

My name is Ms.Delicious Diary and my job is to see how my clients are really doing when it comes to their weight loss journey. My favorite clients are Super Size-It Sally and Low-Calorie Lucy, along with their close knit group of friends. They all have their own way of dealing with their issues, and the funniest nicknames to prove it as you will see as you read their diary entries each week. I hold the key to the diary in this special little green bag. My fingers are itching to unlock the diary and see their weight loss or gain, and check their delicious food entries.
                                         

Dear Diary: My Book Club Chat!

Super Size-It Sally:

Page 50 reads: I felt like a big kid by the time I left my mothers house for what was suppose to be an innocent visit, but turn into another one of her lectures about weight. I know I'm over weight, you don't have to keep reminding me every time I see you. That's what I was thinking and even mumbling under my breath as she was talking. By the time I left my mothers house I wanted to stop by the very first Crispy Creme and load up on boxes of donuts, and I didn't even care if they were hot or ice cold...

Low-Calorie Lucy:

Page 51 reads: Blah, blah, blah, blah, that's what it sounds like when you keep hearing the same old thing over and over again. Even if it is put in a different way, it still means the same thing. You don't even listen any more even if you can hear it. You just don't want to hear it again and come up with some pretty creative ways to block it out. Susan just wasn't in the mood for it that day..

Lifestyle change of the week!
Mothers and daughters don't always see eye to eye, and when it comes to weight, it can be a real eye sore in more ways than one. We have to remember, weight is just one aspect of who we are, we have many beautiful layers. Embrace all of them!

Motivation Series - Do This, Not That!

Do This:

1. Put on your big girl pants and get down to business. Make a plan, then follow through.

2. Think of eating healthy and exercise, like cake and ice cream. They are delicious when you put them together.

3. Being a big girl about your health, means you don't whine, throw a tantrum or cry when it's time to exercise. Remember, "Big Girls Don't Cry" they just do what needs to be done. No excuses!

4. After you set your healthy eating plan in motion, stick to it most of the time and you will be fine.

5. You can do it because there is really no real reason why you can't.

Not That:

1. Don't make a healthy eating plan then forget you made it.

2. Don't Expect to have your cake and eat it too, if you don't want to do the work.

3. Don't think you can't when you know you can and will if you put on your big girl pants.

4. Don't make a plan to eat healthy, then load your grocery cart up with processed food. You are what you eat and what you buy, literally!

5. Don't look for an excuse why you can't get exercise, look for an excuse why you can.

Motivating Tip
The best tip for eating better and exercising is to start with one small choice then keep adding to that. If you do that for 30 days, you will be well on your way to a healthier version of yourself.

Welcome to the new year! Are you ready for action? Do you have your "Big girl pants" on? You are going to need them if you hope to get fit and healthy this year. There is something about those pants that help you do what needs to be done, no excuses. Those pants seem to change your mind-set from a victim mentality to victor. No more failing to lose weight, failing to resist temptations, failing to keep the weight off or failing to take care of your health. When you put on your "Big girl pants" you mean business and it shows in the way those pants fit!

Motivating Tip
Start the year off right by preparing your mind for the task at hand. Weight loss does not start with your body, but starts with your mind. It's your mind that is running the show, get that right and your body will follow!

Dear Diary: My Coaching Session!

Super Size-It Sally:

Our coaching session could not have been funnier when Chip-Bag Betty emptied her pockets before jumping on the scale for her weigh-in and pulled out a handful of chips. They were reduced to crumbs but in her mind still edible, so she ate them. It was hilarious, you would have had to been there to see first hand the look on our coaches face. She looked like everything she has ever said just went out the window, it was all for nothing because when you get right down to the heart of the matter, people are going to do what they want to do and eat what they want to eat.

Low-Calorie Lucy:

I feel sorry for our coach, she has to try and keep a straight face no matter what happens in her sessions. Sometimes her coaching skills are really put to the test. It must be really hard to coach people who don't want to be coached, make diet plans for people who won't follow them, schedule exercise for people who hate exercise, get people to sign-up for a gym membership with no plans to attend, do weigh-ins with people who refuse to get on the scale and food diaries that have not one bite of food written on them because the dog ate it.

Lifestyle change of the week!
Since people do what they really want to do, the first step in losing weight and getting healthy is to ask yourself what is it you really want? After you find out what that is, ask yourself how bad do you want it? Then and only then can you go and get it.
