1. One known way to keep track of what you eat is to write it down.

2. Today the modern way to find out how much you are eating is to google it. It just might ruin your appetite.

3. Start your meal with small portions then go from there. You might skip seconds and feel full if you wait for the full signal.

4. Food is fuel that taste good, be sure to burn it.

5. Eat slow, chew long and swallow hard.

Motivating Tip
Stay informed on what you eat and how many calories it has by writing it down after you google it. Even if that information ruins your appetite you will still be better off. Always start small and then go from there, it might be all you need to feel satisfied, especially if you give yourself time to connect the dots. Use your food to fuel your day and remember to eat slow, chew long and swallow hard.

Do This:

1.To find out what works for you, keep trying new things.

2. Look for fun ways to be active, you are more likely to stick to it.

3. Include extra steps in your daily activities, they all add up.

4. Do little spurts of intense activity for a quick calorie burn.

5. Always stretch for best results.

Not That:

1. Don't be afraid to try a new activity.

2. Don't do exercise you hate, that's no fun.

3. Don't look for short cuts, go the long way around for extra steps.

4. Don't think a little activity won't go a long way.

5. Don't let your muscles tighten up because you didn't stretch after exercise.

Motivating Tip
There are a lot of ways to be active, if you are not sure what is the best way for you, just keep trying different things until you find your happy place. When you find it you will know because you will jump at the chance to do it again and again!

My favorite clients are Super Size-It Sally and Low-Calorie Lucy, along with their close knit group of friends. They all have their own way of dealing with their issues, and the funniest nicknames to prove it as you will see as you read their diary entries each week. I hold the key to the diary in this special little green bag. My fingers are itching to unlock the diary and see their weight loss or gain, and check their delicious food entries.

Page 59 reads: Chip-Bag Betty just could not believe that she had gained all the weight she lost back again. How does this keep happening after every new diet, gym membership, detox and starving myself. What does a girl have to do to lose a few pounds and keep it off? Should I just eat what I want and forget about weight, but that sounds like I'm giving up and I am not ready to do that. It's so frustrating to keep losing weight and think you have it all figured out, then you let down your guard for one minute and the weight is back with a vengeance...

Exercise your right to exercise! You have the right to move not just sit there. When you rise and shine, don't plop back down on the couch all day and become a bonafide couch potato. Get up and move, play and have some fun. It doesn't matter what you do as long as you do something, anything to get that heart pumping and your body moving. After all, it was designed to be active and when you do what you are designed to do amazing things start to happen!

Motivating Tip
One of the best ways to get your exercise is to play. Finding something fun and active that you look forward to doing is the key to sticking with a exercise routine. It's much easier to do something that you want to do, not have to do.
